Google shares a library of AI-generated STEM learning activities
Google's new learning interactives combine AI generation with teacher review. The sample library and custom-generation pilot have different access paths.

In this article
Google Research announced a sample library on 17 September 2026 containing more than 30 English-language STEM activities generated with AI and reviewed by teachers. The announcement focuses on middle and high school learning.
Two different access paths
Google describes the sample library as available for public use. During our signed-out link check on 21 September, its address redirected to Google sign-in. We verified the announcement and that redirect, but did not test the activities behind the sign-in screen.
Custom activity generation is part of an upcoming school pilot. The pilot registration page requires the institution’s Google Workspace for Education administrator to register interest. Google contacts institutions about suitable opportunities before granting access; submitting the form does not guarantee participation.
For a school considering a trial, those are separate decisions: inspect the existing examples first, then evaluate whether a pilot fits its curriculum and account setup. That is our editorial recommendation, not a claim that every teacher can already generate activities on demand.
What the evidence leaves open
The announcement reports teacher feedback and says classroom studies of learning gains and engagement are still planned. It therefore does not establish a measured improvement in student outcomes. A useful local trial would examine scientific accuracy, clarity of feedback and fit with the lesson before relying on an activity in class.
Sources and access conditions checked on 21 September 2026. The news event is the 17 September library announcement.
