Claude Marketplace brings plugins, agents and service partners together
Anthropic unifies its marketplace around integrations, partner software and services. What changes for Claude users, developers and enterprise buyers?

In this article
Anthropic’s September 23 announcement brings three parts of its ecosystem into a single Claude Marketplace: integrations, partner software and implementation services. The update gives teams one starting point for discovering what they can connect to Claude, buy through its ecosystem or get help deploying.
What can you find there?
The live directory separates three needs:
| Area | What it is for | Examples in the directory |
|---|---|---|
| Connectors and plugins | Connecting applications, information and workflows | Gmail, Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Notion, Slack and Atlassian |
| Agents and products | Finding Claude-powered partner software | Cursor, Factory, CrowdStrike, Gamma and Vercel |
| Service partners | Getting help with organizational adoption | Accenture and Deloitte |
The site lists more than 2,000 connectors and plugins. That is the combined directory count; it should not be read as 2,000 newly released products or 2,000 Claude Code extensions.
How does this relate to Claude Code?
Claude Code’s documentation describes a plugin system that can bundle skills, agents, hooks and MCP servers. Adding a plugin marketplace makes its catalog available; installing an individual plugin is a separate step.
The terminal’s /plugin interface provides a Discover tab. Desktop, VS Code and cloud sessions have their own installation or account-sync paths. A listing in the broader Claude Marketplace therefore does not, by itself, add a capability to a coding session. Check the integration’s supported surface and requested access before enabling it.
Who can use their existing budget?
The purchasing FAQ describes enterprise customers applying part of an existing Anthropic spending commitment to eligible partner solutions. Anthropic handles the invoicing for partner spend, and customers start through their account team.
This is a procurement arrangement. It is not a statement that a personal Claude subscription includes the listed third-party software. The customer announcement explicitly says commitment-based purchasing is in limited preview, with eligibility checked through the account team or a request.
Anthropic gives concrete examples: CodeRabbit funded an expanded Vercel plan through its commitment; Power Digital and ThoughtSpot used theirs for Snowflake. These are the companies’ reported deployments, not a universal saving or a procurement result we independently measured.
What changes for builders?
The launch announcement provides different submission routes: connectors and plugins built with MCP and Agent Skills, applications for Claude-powered products, and the Claude Partner Network for consulting and integration services. The offer determines the route; building a plugin and selling a product involve different processes.
Our assessment: the useful change is a shorter path from discovering an integration to understanding how to adopt it. For a small team, connector access and permissions will matter first. For a company with an Anthropic commitment, purchasing eligibility may be the bigger consideration. Neither a catalog listing nor shared billing replaces evaluating the tool against the work it needs to do.
